Partner Support Engineer

The Role

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with colleagues within Sales, Support & Marketing. A prerequisite is a high degree of technical ability, balanced with commercial awareness, promote the software whilst raising the Group Brands with Business Partnerships
To assist UK & European Business Partner Development:

Understand & contribute to Vero Business Partner strategy
To identify & support machine tool demonstrations at partner’s premises.
Ensuring partners Vero awareness & knowledge is in line with latest releases
Identify & plan specific partner training to suit their requirement & needs
Partner Openhouse event coordination
Generate activity content to drive company social media channels & website
Provide support at exhibitions, openhouses, roadshows, conferences and seminars.
To ensure all demonstrations, presentations and training delivered meets the company’s high standards of quality and professionalism.
To liaize with relevant Pre Sales in the first instance on any technical problems encountered or issues identified with products as well as enhancement requests that impact on the saleability of the products, and provide customer feedback and technical input to develop the product to meet future customer requirements.
Provide feedback to Manager on information acquired on market trends, opportunities and pressures.
Ensure all activities carried out support the team members and objectives, providing assistance to other team members in problem-solving issues, sharing knowledge and experience to develop other team members.

The Applicant

• Have good communication skills

• Have a logical / analytical approach to problem solving and where needed be innovative and flexible

• Ideally have a recognised mechanical qualification, ideally HNC – Mechanical & Production or higher

• Have a good “user” understanding of computers and networks

• Be a self-starter but with an ability to work in co-operation with other team members

• Demonstrate a “can do, will do” attitude

• Be reliable, and willing to learn the range of Vero products

• Have a valid full driving license

A background in computer aided manufacturing would be a distinct advantage and would be preferred, but we welcome engineers with manufacturing experience
